Operating and Executive Committees Meet May 20
On May 20, 2010, the Beef Promotion Operating Committee will review a recommendation from the industry’s Joint Budget Committee and make a recommendation for a national checkoff budget for Fiscal Year 2011, which starts Oct. 1, 2010. In addition, the committee – which comprises 10 members of the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and 10 members of the Federation of State Beef Councils — will get a report about checkoff evaluation efforts and a financial report from Beef Board Secretary/Treasurer Robert Fountain, a producer from Georgia.
Following the Operating Committee is the meeting of the CBB Executive Committee, which will address a variety of administrative issues and will review the preceding actions of the Operating Committee. A link to the agenda for each meeting is below.
