2009 Cattle Industry Convention on Tap

The 2009 Cattle Industry Annual Convention is just around the corner — Jan. 28-31 — in Phoenix, Arizona. Thousands of producers will gather to review the challenges and successes in the beef industry during the last year and to discuss how best to move forward given economic and industry challenges.
On behalf of the Beef Checkoff Program, the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and Federation of State Beef Councils will review the status of Fiscal 2009 checkoff programs and identify priorities for investment of diminishing checkoff dollars in Fiscal 2010. Below are highlights of the convention for Beef Board members:
Tuesday, Jan. 27
- 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. – CBB Administration Subcommittee meeting
Wedesday, Jan. 28
- 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – CBB Executive Committee meeting
- 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Joint Evaluation Advisory Committee meeting
- 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – CBB Audit Committee meeting
- 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. – Opening General Session
Thursday, Jan. 29
- 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. – Cattle-Fax Outlook Seminar
- 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. – Beef Industry Issues Forums
- 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. – Dairy Producer Communications Forum Lunch meeting (by invitation)
- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. – CBB Update Session
Friday, Jan. 30
- 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Beef Producer Huddle (General Session)
- 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Joint Committee and Subcommittee Meetings

Saturday, Jan. 31
