This year’s USDA intern who is a former Beef Ambassador is Christie Molinaro, pictured here with Lloyd Day, Administrator, USDA-AMS.
This is the second year since USDA formalized an intern program with the ANCW’s Beef Ambassador program that’s funded by the Checkoff.
You have to have been an Ambassador to apply for the internship and this year that’s Christie.
Lloyd says that they had already had an informal relationship with the program but it was so successful they decided to make it a more formal one.
Christie is looking forward to learning more about AMS since she says it’s not something they were taught about in school.
